Institutional Development, in cooperation with MaxInter Corporation. All
classes will be held at the Glen Burnie Town Center, Room 415, formerly the
Arundel Center North, located on the corner of Baltimore/Annapolis Blvd. and Crain Highway
in Glen Burnie. Class size is limited to 16. Seats will be reserved on a

This course will familiarize the student with the common terms associated with PC's, the basic operation and features of the PC and the Windows environment. Topics include: disk drives, files and directories, mouse, icons and pull-down menus and printing functions. Course cost $75.00 (includes materials and fees) Registration Form
This course enables the student to operate their PCs under the Windows 95 environment including using the functions of the Windows Explorer. Topics include: controlling the Windows 95 system and customizing its environment. This course goes into more depth about Windows 95 than the PC Literacy course. Internet Basics for Windows 3.1 This course teaches the student to explore the Internet using the Windows 3.1 environment. Topics include: accessing the Internet, hardware and software requirements; WWW search capabilities and file transfer protocol (FTP); e-mail and news groups. Internet Basics for Windows 95 This is a hands-on course exploring the history, capabilities and applications of the Internet using Microsoft's Internet Explorer 3.02. Topics include: hardware and software requirements; WWW search capabilities and file transfer protocol (FTP); and electronic mail and news groups. The student will learn to create a homepage for the WWW using hypertext markup language (HTML). Topics include: viewing homepages of commercial enterprises; adding and editing text; graphics and links. Class project includes developing a homepage for individual use not business use. Provides a more in-depth, hands-on course for those who have a good background using the Internet and its services but want to go further.
